The Lenten season of sacrifice and self-denial is about to come to an end, but this coming week is extremely important for all Christians. The greatest focus of the week is the Passion, suffering and Resurrection of Jesus Christ and the events that led up to it.
Year 2 students were reminded at Mass yesterday that Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week and that every day during this special week is a holy day. At our liturgy tomorrow we will be reminded of Jesus’ last meal with his disciples, his arrest and his passion and finally, his death on the Cross. It is a sad way to end the term but we do so full of hope and expectation of the wonderful events to follow.
We will celebrate The Resurrection at a liturgy on our return to school after Easter.
