The PRC is a great way for children to give themselves a personal reading challenge. All children have a user ID and password so they can log onto the PRC website and add the books they read themselves. The children will need to do most of this at home. They will be supported by the L.A.R.C., with assistance in finding books on the challenge list and if they need computer access at lunch time. They can get books from home or the public Libraries as well. Each primary child needs to read 20 books and each Infants child needs to read 30 by 9th August, (to enable me time to check and validate reading records) the challenge began on 1st September, 2016.
If your child (Infants and Primary) would like to attempt the challenge you need to notify me in writing by the end of May. The children’s passwords from last year should work. If your child is doing the challenge and has forgotten their password, let me know.
Happy Reading, Many thanks,
Chris Higgins (Teacher Librarian)
